Huskuru Miskiiy
Built by Sultan Ibrahim Iskandhar in 1956, Huskuru Miskiiy or Friday Mosque was the main mosque in Male before the completion of the Islamic Centre.  The mosque is a fine example of the best display of best coral curving anywhere in the world.

Mulee-aage
Not to far from the Hukuru Miskiiy is Mulee-aage, a palace built in 1906 by Sultan Mohamed Shamsuddeen III. The palace later was converted into President’s official residence when Maldives became a republic. Today, Mulee-aage houses the President’s office.

The National Museum
Housed in a former Sultan’s palace, the National Museum is a good place to observe the rich collection of items that include thrones and palanquins used by former Sultan’s to the first printing press used in the country.
